What we collect
When you sign in via GitHub, we receive your GitHub username and email address. We store these to manage your account.
When you run ails check with server diagnostics enabled, we receive a text-stripped payload containing structural metadata about your instruction files (line counts, heading structure, formatting markers). Your instruction text never leaves your machine. The payload contains no file content — only classified features.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not read, store, or transmit the content of your instruction files
- We do not track your browsing behavior
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties
- The CLI collects zero telemetry in offline mode
API keys
Your API key is stored encrypted in our database and as a SHA-256 hash in Cloudflare KV for authentication. The full key is shown once at creation and can be retrieved via ails auth status.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie for authenticated users on reporails.com. We use Cloudflare for CDN and security, which may set its own cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Data retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion by contacting us. Diagnostic payloads are processed in memory and discarded — they are not stored.
